My latest level design project and final project for my level design class. This level shows a culmination of everything I've learned this semester with photos, a 2D map, and a playthrough of the level. There is another puzzle crafted entirely in Blueprint, a complex story as always, and for the first time I have utilized cutscenes/cinematics in the level. All work by me, using assets from Unreal Engine and Freesound.

Note: Due to the assignment requirements, the entire game was drafted in the map and documentation, but only one section of the game was to be made...for now :)

My midterm submission for my level design class. This level shows my progression from my previous blockout(seen below the slideshow) with photos, a 2D map, documentation, and a playthrough of the level. There are several keys and locks, a puzzle crafted entirely in Blueprint, and a rich story hidden in every frame. All created by yours truly, using assets from Unreal Engine and Freesound.

As an assignment, I was to take a pre-designed 2D map and iterate on it into a 3D Whitebox. I settled on a theme matching a game idea I had a while back about a forgotten religion's leader rebuilding their pantheon and created the first level of the game on this map! You can see the slow progression of the white boxing, and I'm really happy with how it came out, especially early into my level design practice

This map is one I designed with a walkthrough for a final project for 2D Tools for Game Development. The game follows a mother's journey through grief while navigating a strange island after a plane crash. Grief is a unique feeling for me as I've found myself desensitized to the loss of loved ones, and that makes it all the more important to express said grief through healthy ways and going through the full process to acceptance and peace.

...not really. But I am still an active student creating more works, more stories, more levels, and more entertainment! I also have some existing works that I plan on adding soon, and I'll be sure to regularly update this page. So, to whoever's watching...enjoy the show :)
